The First Ever ArmCare Elite Scrum

Strength in Numbers #116

Be a Specialist Generalist

As we were developing our certification courses, we recognized the financial commitment our students were making, but even more so, they were committing to 20 hours of education. That kind of person needed to be labeled, and I mean in a good way. The only thing that came to our minds was that these people are elite.

They blend their specialties with advanced knowledge, only to find that they have a widespread generalized knowledge about throwing arm health and performance. They hold conversations with anyone in the industry.

The all too familiar “Stay in your lane” kind of thinking is not upon them because they are making high-level suggestions from their education.

If you are a surgeon, pitching coaches will understand you. If you are a pitching coach, physical therapists will understand the movement qualities you are focused on improving in your player development approaches, if you are a parent of a 12-year-old child, you possess knowledge that most PhDs in the sport do not have, and you are living it each day and guiding your young athlete in the best possible manner.
