Strength in Numbers #97

ArmCare Specialist Sneak Peek

We have almost reached the one-and-a-half-year mark and have close to 1000 Certified ArmCare Specialists.

Currently, we are working on an updated edition that will be a live taping in Chandler, Arizona, where we will welcome physical therapists and athletic trainers to dive deeper into the medical insights for injury prevention and rehabilitation.

We plan to go soup to nuts from proactive, preventative, and informative on topics such as:

  • New Premium Training – We will detail neuroplasticity, graduated intensity, and how to go after maximum strength and maximum strength endurance.
  • New Training Intelligence – We will cover in depth the data-led adjustments for determining volume and intensity changes through various scenarios.
  • New Exercises – We will review a whole whack of training exercises focused on individualized strength requirements. This knowledge is the perfect foundation for the Certified Pitching Biomechanist Course, which blends strength and coordination, dynamometry and dynamometry, and 3D motion capture.

Ultimately, we aim to eliminate the phrase “one size fits all” in baseball development because we firmly believe that “one size fits none.”

BASEBALL CONNECTIONS

We are set up at D1 because baseball has a way of connecting people and dots for me.

In 2005, I played in Gauting, Germany, in the Bundesliga top baseball league. That’s right, Germany has a pretty slick independent league where they bring in imports, some with MLB experience.

I enjoyed the experience so much because the league did not go by age but by ability. Through the experience, I made some great friends, especially with the Howard brothers. Chris is still involved with the German National Program, where he coaches in Gauting, Germany, and Philipp came to the US to play college ball as a superb shortstop. He has terrific stories from playing against MLB superstars during their developmental years.

Philipp came to Arizona to open a D1 location, and I mentioned the idea of advancing our baseball education. It resonated, as he had experience arm injuries that halted his career past college, and he immediately jumped on board.

I mainly tell this story because I love how the baseball world works.  You think you play with people for a season, and then those connections continue to pop up in life for other reasons.

NEXT STEP

I’m excited to share this updated information and our new ideas about advancing player development.

If you are in the allied medical field (physical therapist, athletic trainer, or sports medicine doctor), reach out immediately and hold your spot!

People in attendance will see things firsthand, be able to ask questions in the intermissions and receive access to the online course when ready.
